An alternative school in the small town of Crane, MO is quietly carving out a skilled practice in vinyl printing. The Anchor School is putting their skills to work by partnering with Mrs. Fun’s initiative to join with Billboard America: producing 4’ x 6’ vinyl displays of the student’s contributions to “A Positive Message Project: Hope through Unity, Balance, Empowerment, Peace”

At The Anchor School, it’s clear that it is filling a gap in a community with limited access to specialized vocational training. One aspect of the school’s program is that students are taught the basics of vinyl printing—how to operate machinery, design graphics, and handle client orders. It’s a hands-on program, designed to empower students; equipping them with the necessary skills to take on real-world projects through experience.

In many ways, the school is hoping to become an anchor for the town’s small-scale creative industry, serving as a go-to source for local businesses needing custom printing services. This collaboration exemplifies principles of local investment and community building. Billboard America (and the Crane R-3 Art Program) are grateful for The Anchor School’s involvement!
